No, we don’t charge any additional fees for tutor matching or administrative services. You’ll only pay the agreed-upon hourly rate to the tutor. 

If you have engaged a tutor for 1 lesson per week, total 4 lessons in that month. In this case 2 lessons will be paid to SG Tutor Tuition Agency and the other 2 to the tutor’s account. Thereafter, full lesson fees will be made payable to the tutor at the end of every lesson or even at a period agreed between both tutor and parent.

You can conveniently pay through bank transfer, PayLah, or PayNow. We’ll provide you with the necessary payment details, usually through an invoice or WhatsApp message after the 2nd lesson. From the 3rd lesson, you will make payment directly to the tutor at the end of every lesson or even at a period agreed between both tutor and parent.

You can request a tutor by online form, WhatsApp or a phone call. Our team will then schedule a consultation to discuss your child’s needs and match them with a suitable private tutor.

We advise parents to pay tutors after completion of each lesson. This ensures transparency and flexibility for both parties.

If you need to cancel a scheduled tutor engagement before the first lesson, please inform SG Tutor Agency at least 7 days in advance. A last-minute cancellation fee of SGD 50 may apply.

We understand that finding the right tutor is important. You can request a replacement tutor after the first lesson. Please note that the fee for the first lesson will still apply.

While our tutors are carefully selected, we understand that sometimes a change may be necessary. You can request a replacement tutor, but please allow us some time to find a suitable match.

All our tutors undergo a rigorous screening process, including verification of their qualifications and experience. We can provide you with additional information upon request.

Our tutors come from a variety of backgrounds, including experienced educators from MOE schools and reputable tuition centers.

Yes, you can reschedule / postpone the lesson, but please provide at least 24 hours’ notice. Frequent cancellations or late notices may incur additional fees. (This is except for special cases such as medical emergencies.)

Tutors are expected to commit at least 4 weeks’ of lessons before any termination. If a tutor needs to terminate the engagement early, they must provide sufficient notice and may not be entitled to payment for future lessons.

SG Tutor discourages our tutors to postpone or reschedule lessons unless there is a valid reason, such as illness. If a lesson needs to be rescheduled, it should be done with  at least 24 hours before the next lesson commences and a makeup for the missed lesson within the next 7 days.

Online tuition is conducted via platforms like Zoom or Google Meet. Resources will be uploaded online for easy reference and allows students to retrieve at ease. Soft copies of homework will be sent to students before the start of the lesson. Do ensure that you have the following devices set up for online tuition, both webcam and speakers are working.

Typically, you can use existing textbooks and materials. However, your tutor may recommend additional resources or worksheets to enhance your learning. Please discuss any additional material needs with your tutor.
